Manage users and teams
See everyone in the workspace, manage their roles, group people into teams, and control what each role can do.

Three settings sections cover the people side of your workspace: Users for who is in and what role they hold, Teams for grouping people, and Security & Permissions for what each role can do.
Users
The Users section lists everyone in the workspace with the role each person holds. Use it to check who has access and to change a role when someone's responsibilities change.

To bring new people in, use the Invite people button in the sidebar. The full flow, including bulk invites, is in Invite people to your workspace.
Teams
A team is a group of people you add to projects together: the structural engineers, the site managers, the client side. Set a team up once and adding it to a new project takes one step instead of ten.
- 1
In workspace settings, open Teams.
- 2
Create a team, give it a clear name, and add its members.

- 3
When you create or manage a project, add the team and every member comes with it.
Security & Permissions
The Security & Permissions section defines what each role can see and do: who can manage settings, who can approve documents, who can only view. It also holds the workspace rules and guidelines page, where you set out how your organisation expects people to work.

Tip
Give people the smallest role that lets them do their job. You can always raise a role later, and the audit log shows you exactly what each person has been doing.
